Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 24 July 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Accreda platform (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms apply to all candidates, assessors, administrators, and visitors.

2. Verification of Competency (VOC) Service

Accreda provides a direct-to-public Verification of Competency assessment service. A VOC assessment evaluates a candidate’s skills and knowledge against defined competency standards for a specified plant, equipment, or procedure. Completion of a VOC does not constitute a formal licence, ticket, or accreditation unless expressly stated, and is subject to the relevant industry regulator’s requirements.

3. Bookings and Payment

A booking is only confirmed once the applicable fee has been paid in full. Fees are displayed at the time of booking and may change without notice. Payments are processed securely via our payment provider. All fees are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include applicable GST where required.

4. Refunds and Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled assessment are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours, non-attendance, or failure to provide required identification or evidence may result in forfeiture of the fee. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to support.

5. Candidate Obligations

Candidates must provide true, accurate, and current information, including valid identification, licence details, and evidence of prior experience. Candidates must attend assessments sober, fit, and able to perform the required tasks safely. Providing false or misleading information may result in immediate cancellation of the assessment without refund.

6. Assessment Outcomes

Assessment outcomes are determined by a qualified assessor against the published competency criteria. Outcomes are recorded as Competent or Not Yet Competent. Results are final unless an appeal is lodged within 14 days of the outcome notification, in accordance with our appeals process.

7. Certificates

Upon a successful (Competent) outcome, a certificate is issued with a unique verification code. Certificates remain valid for the period stated on the certificate (typically two years from the issue date). Accreda reserves the right to revoke a certificate where it is found to have been obtained fraudulently.

8. Privacy and Data

Personal information collected during booking and assessment is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We collect, store, and use personal data solely for the purpose of delivering and verifying VOC assessments and related administrative functions.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including assessment materials, criteria, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Accreda and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Accreda is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of the Service or the outcome of an assessment. Our liability is limited to the fee paid for the specific assessment in question.

11. Changes to Terms

Accreda may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The date of the last revision is shown below.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant Australian courts.
